Guests of Loews Regency San Francisco now have exclusive access to the City’s top cultural institutions, notable organizations, and hottest brands by way of a new monthly event series, Culture in the Clouds.  Launching today, the program invites hotel guests to sip and sight-see atop the property’s private 40th floor Sky Deck while enjoying epic views and the best of San Francisco’s creative and cultural community.

Culture in the Clouds takes place once per month on a Friday or Saturday evening from 5-6 p.m. and provides guests with intimate, one-of-a-kind experiences and access to notables from San Francisco’s acclaimed fashion, food and beverage, theater, and arts.  The series kicks off today with a chocolate tasting and real-time chocolate making demo by San Francisco’s cult favorite chocolate maker, Dandelion Chocolate.  The following month welcomes the prestigious San Francisco Ballet on Saturday, October 8, where assistant to the artistic director and ballet master Ricardo Bustamante will conduct a Q&A about the Company and his storied background as principal dancer for the San Francisco Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.  On Friday, November 4, local designers Anna Chiu and Valerie Santillo will introduce their much buzzed about womenswear label, KAMPERETT, comprising subtlety luxurious and timeless pieces.  The duo will delve into winter fashion trends and provide sneak peeks of upcoming collections.  Closing out the year will be Cuyana, the beloved San Francisco label offering “fewer, better” things for women including high-quality apparel and accessories.  On Friday, December 9, the brand will present an intimate truck show shopping experience, just in time for holiday gifting.  Guests will have the opportunity to purchase from Cuyana’s latest collections with complimentary live monogramming.

Loews Regency San Francisco conceived of Culture in the Clouds as a means to celebrate the local culture and give guests an authentic taste of the Bay Area. The program is an addendum to the recently debuted and wildly popular Weekend Wine Down, a hosted wine hour for hotel guests that occurs every Friday and Saturday evening during sunset.  The Sky Deck venue presents one of the most picturesque settings in all of San Francisco, with unobstructed views that span from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower and The Transamerica Pyramid to Alcatraz and Angel Island.

The ultimate sky-high urban retreat, Loews Regency San Francisco delivers a modern and understated approach to luxury by going back to the basics with five-star hospitality, personalized service, distinct amenities, seasonal culinary offerings, a world-class spa, and more than 5,000 square feet of meeting space.  The hotel, located in the heart of the City, is uniquely set within the top 11 floors of a striking 48-story building that soars into the sky – representing the tallest hotel rooms in California.  Each of the 155 well-appointed rooms presents awe-inspiring sights of the City and bay.  The hotel represents a world-class getaway for global travelers seeking a memorable trip to one of the best cities in world, or an incredible staycation for Bay Area residents looking for a celebratory night.
