Palm Beach has long been known as a playground to the rich and famous, with its extravagant estates and upscale boutiques and galleries along the famed Worth Avenue. So it’s fitting that one of the most highly anticipated yacht shows of the year, the Palm Beach International Boat Show, takes place there every March.
Running from March 28-31, 2019 along Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach, this year’s show will feature more than $1.2 billion in yachts for sale ranging from showstopping superyachts to sleek and sporty cruisers and sportfishers. One of the biggest exhibitors at the show will once again be Merle Wood & Associates, an industry leader in the sale, purchase, charter and construction of some of the world’s most notable yachts.
Here is a look at some of the yachts they will have on display at this year’s show:
Built by renowned German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, the 199’ (60.90m) EXCELLENCE V yacht has a massive tonnage of 1,632 (which is unusual for a vessel of this length), providing copious living and entertaining space while still giving her access to harbors that are off limits to many yachts. Some of her many notable features include a private owner’s deck, cinema room, and glass elevator servicing all five of her decks.
The 188’ (57m) MINDERELLA yacht is a classic Feadship that recently underwent a double-digit million-dollar refit. Yacht Next is responsible for her relaxing interior, which is highlighted by neutral tones with pops of color, and her spacious exterior decks boast plush furnishings and numerous options for dining, relaxing, and entertaining. She also features an 8-person hot tub, helipad, new navigation and communication systems and Quantum Zero-Speed stabilizers and can accommodate 10 guests in 5 luxuriously appointed staterooms.
The sleek and speedy 153’ (47m) Cantieri di Pisa BALISTA yacht features a colorful interior and exterior decor. She accommodates up to 14 guests in 7 elegant staterooms, including a spacious VIP suite that can serve as a second master stateroom. Her expansive social spaces inside and out include a large main aft deck, as well as a vast bridge deck perfect for enjoying meals outdoors.
The 131′ (40m) M4 yacht built by Trident has a stunning 7 feet of headroom and vast windows that flood the interior with light, making her look and feel like a much larger yacht. Her price also was recently reduced to $5,995,000, making her one of the best values in her class. She comfortably sleeps up to 9 guests in accommodations including 2 full-beam master staterooms.
Built for the ultimate fisherman, the 122’ (37m) Trinity MARY P yacht is a completely unique aluminum sportfish. She has numerous performance-enhancing features, such as an automated anchor deployment and retrieval system, custom underwater lighting designed to enhance performance when night fishing, and a flybridge that maintains a good line of sight for the captain. Accommodating 8 guests in 4 staterooms, she can cruise at 23 knots and has a top speed of 25 knots.
The 112’ (34m) Sunseeker yacht USELE$$ is a stunning example of the shipyard’s popular 34m/111’ series. Built and delivered in 2011, she can accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 lavish staterooms. She is powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M93 engines and has been maintained to the highest standards.
The third hull in Horizon’s P110 tri-deck series, the 110′ (34m) REBECA yacht sleeps 8 guests in 4 tasteful staterooms. Her recent refit included new soft goods, fresh cap rail varnish, and full exterior gel-coat polish. Entertaining and creating lasting memories on REBECA will come naturally with her seamless layout, impeccable finish, and spacious exterior decks.
A highly customized work of Italian craftsmanship, the 95’ (29m) LUNASEA V yacht sports amenities including a private master “beach,” Zero Speed stabilizers, elegant al fresco spaces rivaling those on 40m yachts, a Kaleidescape media system, a hydraulically retracting Bimini top, elegant zebrawood/onyx/marble/leather/Brazilian Jatoba finished in the interior, and many more.
ESSENCE OF CAYMAN
The 85’ (26m) ESSENCE OF CAYMAN yacht is a classic, down-east style yacht combined with modern form and function. Built by Vicem, with an interior by Jane Plachar, she sleeps 6 guests in 3 staterooms, and her king master stateroom features the comforts of home, including a vanity and a walk-in closet. She has spacious salons on the main deck and on the lower deck, in addition to a large indoor dining area. Guests can also enjoy open-air al fresco meals on the large main deck aft.
Featuring a light, contemporary interior, the stylish 80′ (24.4m) Ferretti EVOLUTION yacht sleeps 8 guests in 4 well-appointed staterooms, plus 4 crew in 2 cabins. Twin MTU engines allow her to cruise at 24 knots and give her a top speed of 32 knots. Some of her many features include zero-speed gyro stabilization and a fold-down transom that creates the perfect beach club or water sports platform to maximize your time enjoying the ocean.
Built by Offshore Yachts, the 72’ (22m) SERENITA yacht has only had one owner and has been maintained by her captain to the highest standards. She comfortably sleeps 6 guests in 3 staterooms in addition to 2 crew.
