Balmain Names Antonin Tron as New Creative Director

Balmain has officially appointed Antonin Tron as its new Creative Director, ushering in a fresh creative chapter for the historic Parisian fashion house.

Born in Paris in 1984, Tron studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and has held design roles at some of fashion’s most influential brands, including Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Balenciaga, and Saint Laurent. In 2016, he launched his own label, ATLEIN, which became known for its refined craftsmanship, fluid tailoring, and focus on movement.

“I am deeply honored to be joining Balmain,” said Tron in a statement released by Balmain. “Balmain has a truly inspiring history. At its heart, the house embodies savoir-faire, culture, sensuality, and elegance, fashion that is radiant, precise, and bold.”

Balmain Chairman Rachid Mohamed Rachid praised Tron’s “thoughtful, modern, and artistic” approach to design, noting that his appointment reflects the brand’s commitment to evolving while preserving its rich heritage. Working alongside Balmain CEO Matteo Sgarbossa, Tron will lead the house into a new era that bridges tradition and innovation.

Tron’s first collection for Balmain will debut during Paris Fashion Week in March 2026, showcasing the Fall/Winter 2026–27 line.
