Kayla Douglas

I’m a very strong-willed character that has a lot of belief that anything is possible if you put in the work to achieve it.
Representing south group twenty-two

Kayla Douglas took 3rd place in the South! Both Jetset Magazine and the B+ Foundation would like thank you for your help in supporting families dealing with childhood cancer.

What would you do with $50,000?

Not to turn into a sob story, but a real one. The first thing I would do is pay off all of my debt to keep my credit in a good standing. Secondly, I would take 18,000-20,000 to buy my grandfather a 1966 Harley Davidson Panhead bike. 3 weeks ago I got the news the found a brain tumor and has 3 months. I promised him since a little girl I would be successful and buy it back, and I plan to do just that. If he passes before then, his legacy will continue through the bike. The rest will be saved.

Why should you be voted Miss Jetset?

My ultimate goal in life is to change at least one persons life for the better. Whether I know it or not. I’m hoping to be able to be inspiration for many troubled individuals to never give up and keep striving to be the best you can be, no matter what life throws you. Because life will give you hell, but you have to give it right back.

What is your edge over the other candidates?

I think everyone has a story to tell, (mine just so happens to be a book.) I originally went to school for elementary Education because some of the most inspiring people in my life have been teachers. I later thought about my true passion which is performing arts and I think you can find so much inspiration and character from a photo or beautiful performance. That helped me get through any obstacle life has thrown at me, passion will take you a long way.
