The 2025 RM Sotheby’s Monterey Sale was one of the top 10 auctions of the year, and it didn’t disappoint.
The headline lot, a 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 “Tailor Made,” went under the hammer for $26 million, setting the highest price of Monterey Car Week. The $26 million sale turned heads and supported a good cause, with all proceeds going to charity.
Part of the Icona Series, only 599 Daytona SP3s were ever built, making any sighting of the vehicle worthy of attention.
But, instead of being just another one of the 599 Daytonas produced, this one went even further. A “599+1,” thanks to the Tailor Made program, allowed its owner to personalize everything from carbon-fiber accents to a bold Giallo Modena livery.
Collectors in the room knew they were bidding on something rare. Even compared to seven-figure classics and vintage icons, this 2-year-old car got attention from everyone for its perfect combination of design, performance, and exclusivity.
By the end of Monterey Car Week, one thing was obvious: Ferrari still calls the shots.
The Daytona SP3 “Tailor Made” didn’t just break records; it showed that even modern Ferraris can steal the spotlight and hold their own next to the classics.
