Christian Louboutin has taken a bold step into its next chapter by naming Jaden Smith as the Maison’s first Men’s Creative Director. The announcement, confirmed by the brand in September 2025, marks a historic move for the luxury label as it expands its men’s division, which currently accounts for nearly a quarter of sales.
In his new role, Smith will lead four collections a year, covering footwear, leather goods, and accessories. His influence won’t stop at design, he will also help shape campaigns, events, and immersive experiences tied to the men’s line. The Maison has set a clear timeline: a capsule collection launches in January 2026, the full collection debuts during Paris Men’s Fashion Week that same month, and pieces will arrive in boutiques worldwide by May.
Smith and Christian Louboutin first connected in 2019, sparking a creative relationship that has now evolved into a formal partnership. The brand emphasizes Smith’s multidimensional vision, spanning fashion, music, and activism, as a driving force behind the decision. Christian Louboutin himself revealed that Smith was the only candidate considered for the post, underscoring the confidence placed in him.
The appointment also reflects the Maison’s strategy to elevate its men’s business. CEO Alexis Mourot noted that Smith’s appointment strengthens the creative team and positions the brand to capture a new generation of luxury consumers. For Smith, the role represents what he calls a “creative home,” blending his personal artistry with Louboutin’s legacy of craftsmanship and innovation.
