On the Watch List: Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski

Unless you’ve been hibernating for the winter, you’re likely familiar with the works of highly revered French contemporary designer and sculptor Richard Orlinski. Perhaps most famously known for his unique impressions of nature and his “born wild” concept, the visual artist and Pop Art icon has teamed up with legendary watchmaker Hublot for this one-of-a-kind creation intended to break the mold on artistic watch design.

Utilizing Orlinski’s signature mirror polishing and geometric facets, the watch bares not a single rounded feature (dial and crown aside) making this design a significant departure from traditional timepiece manufacturing. As Hublot states, “This is a creation where time becomes a work of art, and where art becomes an expression of time!”

Available in two new models, the 45mm Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski has been released in limited edition runs of 200 pieces each. Affluent buyers have their choice of either the titanium model or blue ceramic edition. Both models feature a sapphire crystal dial, 42-hour power reserve, and the Caliber Hublot HUB1155 movement.
